Calling All Managers & Coaches!

January 4, 2020

Hello, Managers & Coaches! Apply here.

We are expected to start our 2020 baseball season on January 25, 2020 with the Ice Breaker Clinic. Currently, we expect to have 8 teams. Each team will require a Team Manager and 2 Coaches. These are volunteer positions and we understand the dedication is lengthy and time consuming. However, it is due to commitment from volunteers that we are able to continue to support the youth of Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas and provide them a place to grow into the future upstanding citizens we all want them to be.

Santa Cruz PONY has a long history of team managers and coaches who have taken pride in their duties season after season. We as an organization are very proud of all of these volunteers. Not only those who have taken our 14u All-Star teams to win four Regional Championships in a row but everyone who contributed to that success. The ability for our youth to make it to and win the honor of being Regional Champions is a direct link to the Management of each team and the amount of time and dedication those leaders have put into the development of their players.

We would like anyone interested in becoming a member of the team management or coaching staff to fill out the Manager/Coach application and bring it to the PONY board meeting on January 13th, 2020 at the Harvey West Clubhouse at 6pm. During this meeting we will be discussing the new 2020 PONY baseball rules. Then there will be a short interview process following the board meeting for any applicants for the manager and coaching positions.

We encourage all those interested to apply and join us for the upcoming 2020 PONY season. If you feel you cannot make the commitment to be a manger or a coach and want to become a part of our organization, we still need volunteers throughout the season in the Scorebooth, Snack Shack, and with various organizational positions. Please contact us for information regarding these positions or attend our board meetings which take place on the 2nd Monday of every month at 6pm at the Harvey West Clubhouse.

Thank you for your time and commitment to the growth of our league and support of our local youth. The success of our league depends on your support and dedication. Apply here

Thank you,
